1) Action Plan: The Action Plan is a sequence of steps that must be taken or activities that must be performed well, in order to achieve a specific goal.
It's a never-fail way of keeping in touch with your contacts. Once you assign an Action Plan to a contact, it schedules a sequence of pre-written follow-up emails and tasks that occur over time. When these scheduled tasks come due, you’re automatically reminded to perform them via email.
An Action Plan consists of a series of emails that are sent automatically to Leads on a regular basis for a set period. This can be a great way to keep your business top-of-mind with Leads who are interested in your listings or service but aren’t ready to make a purchase. You can use these emails to answer FAQs, address customer concerns, and keep your Leads warm until they’re ready to buy.
The Action Plan also consists of a series of Follow-up tasks. Following up with Leads is also a great way to show potential clients that you value them. Typically, you recently had a 1-2 hour meeting where issues were addressed and details were discussed. Showing them that you see potential in their business and want to help them achieve success will demonstrate that you value their company and hold them in high regard.

2 Action Plan Rules: The Action Plan Rules feature is used to efficiently apply Action Plans to the new Leads automatically. It's hard to apply an Action Plan to Leads manually when you're dealing with a lot of Leads. So defining different rules according to the Lead type or the site from where the Leads are coming from helps to provide valuable information via email to Leads according to what they demand from us.
For example: You should apply Action Plans automatically to the Leads who sign up from the buyer site in a different way from the Leads who sign up from the seller site.
